REMEMBER WHEN ????
Some years ago Bacon entertained a group called "Pairs and Spares". We met monthly and meetings usually had a theme, perhaps included a potluck supper, games, a speaker, etc. Those that enjoyed the group were young and old, couples, singles due to widowhood or other circumstances. It was a social gathering for all to enjoy. Do you sit at home wishing you had someone to talk to? Would you like to see this activity start up again? A sign up sheet will be located in the narthex for all those interested or contact Bev Wagner at 283-0537.
YOUTH GROUP
The Youth Group started October 24 th at 7:00 p.m. here at Bacon. All children from Kindergarten to Seniors are welcome. Feel free to invite your friends! All participants must have a current Registration form completed and signed by a parent or guardian. There is never a charge for youth group activities; all we ask is that members participate in fundraisers. Parents/Guardians are always welcome to stay and assist/participate with activities and drivers are always needed for outings. ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY TEAM
Volunteers are desperately needed for Bacon's Adopt-A-Highway Program. Currently there are only five members to clean 1.2 Miles of the LaSalle Expressway from Williams Rd. to 76 th Street. The team meets the second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11a.m. If interested please call

PAPER TO DOLLARS
From now until February 24 th is Paper Retriever month here at Bacon. Please bring all your recyclable paper in during this period. We are paid on a sliding scale – the more we recycle the more we get per ton. So if we all clean out whatever we have at the same time (now) we can earn considerably more than if we spread it out over the whole year. Dave Barry has already secured a sizable donation from his employer, so if we all pitch in the benefit could be sizeable.
